Courses in English












The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) is dedicated to assist the non-Chinese eligible employees in Hong Kong in gaining the opportunities through appropriate training and employment services, so that they can integrate into the society, and strive for the well-being of themselves and their families. Courses using English as the medium of instruction are listed below.The ERB offers both part-time and full-time training courses. For full-time training courses, placement follow-up services including career counseling, job matching and referral will be provided to help graduates to get jobs and be continuously employed. Trainees taking part-time or evening courses are required to pay a course fee. For unemployed or low-income persons, they could apply for course fee waiver/subsidies.

Course Fee & Allowance


 


"Retraining allowance" is available for full-time courses with duration of over one week. The amount of retraining allowance varies from course to course, with a ceiling of $4,000 per month. Detailed information on retraining allowance of respective courses can be obtained from the Training Bodies concerned.
Trainees taking part-time or evening courses are required to pay a course fee amounting to 20% of the training costs. For unemployed or low-income persons with monthly income at $7,000 or less, they can apply to waive course fees subject to a commitment of achieving an 80% attendance rate.

  6. Certificate in Community Interpreter Training (English and Hindi/Nepali)

  7. Diploma in Translation and Interpretation (English and Urdu)
