Certificate in Hair Stylist Assistant Training

 


Course Objective:


To equip trainees with basic knowledge and skills of hair stylist assistant, and help them secure an employment as a hair stylist assistant, junior/assistant hair stylist; and to enable trainees to understand the hairdressing industry’s culture in Hong Kong, and master the customer service knowledge and skills.

 


Course Content:


This course will be conducted in English and is suitable for non-Chinese speaking eligible employees in Hong Kong who are unemployed or non-engaged. The course will introduce the industry, hair and scalp treatment, hair styling and techniques, hairdressing appliances and tools, sales techniques, generic skills including vocational Cantonese, personal attributes and job search skills.

 


Entry Requirements:



  1. Completion of Form 3 or above, or completion of Primary 6 and with 2 years’ working experience;

  2. Possess basic English literacy skills;

  3. Interest in hairdressing or related work; and

  4. Demonstrate inclination for employment at the admission interview.

 


Course Duration:


160 hours (approximately 5–6 weeks)
