Certificate in Standard Security and Property Management Training

 


Course Objective:


To enable the trainees to understand the roles and required work attitude of a Security Guard and acquire the relevant job skills, to help the trainees secure an employment as a Security Guard, and to incorporate the basic security training requirement (at least 16-hour) as approved by the Quality Assurance System for Recognition Scheme under Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (SGSIA).

 


Course Content:


This course will be conducted in English and is suitable for non-Chinese speaking eligible employees in Hong Kong who are unemployed or non-engaged. The course will introduce the industry, environment Management, property management, car park and loading area management, computer operation, generic skills including vocational Cantonese, personal attributes, job search skills, etc.

 


Entry Requirements:



  1. Aged 18 or above *;

  2. Completion of Primary 6 and eligible for applying the Security Personnel Permit; (For applicants without Primary 6 qualification, admission will be subject to the applicant’s performance at the admission interview);

  3. Possess basic English literacy skills;

  4. Interest in security and property management or related work; and

  5. Demonstrate inclination for employment at the admission interview.



* According to the Security and Guarding Services Ordinance, applicants of the Security Personnel Permit must be aged 18 or above.

 


Course Duration:


128 hours (approximately 4–5 weeks)

Note: This training course is recognized by the SGSIA upon presentation of a certificate (such as completion certificate), graduates can be exempted for the 16 hours basic training for security guard when employed by a security company.
