The Launching Ceremony "7.18 ERB Embarks on a New Era" (Photos)


 


A catwalk show and dancing performance introducing the new courses of ERB to kick-start the ceremony.


 


The Chairman of ERB, Mr. Michael Tien, said in the ceremony that 18 July was the milestone of ERB's new era. Committed to serving the unemployed grassroots, ERB also supported other unemployed and disadvantaged groups. With the total services to be extended in future to those on-the-job, ERB’s target clientele would reach 3 million people. ERB repositioned itself as the strong back-bone for the local labour force and was committed to providing a flexible, quality and resilient work-force for the knowledge-based economy of Hong Kong.


 


The officiating guests including (left to right) the Executive Director of ERB Ms. Rebecca Pun, JP, the Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr. Paul Tang, JP and the Chairman of ERB Mr. Michael Tien, BBS, JP launched the new logo that signified a new start of ERB and power integration from stakeholders.

The officiating guests, ERB members and representatives of training bodies joined hands to support the "Manpower Development Scheme".


 






The officiating guests visited the "Interactive Exhibition for ERB New Courses" after the launching ceremony. Through a series of course-related demonstrations, performances, computer games, workshops, displays, the exhibition further promoted ERB’s courses to the public, etc. The exhibition consisted of 5 zones i.e. "Catering Service", "Business‧Merchandising", "Recreation Management", "Tourism‧Exhibition" and "Innovative Design".
