Responsibilities |
Assist the Deputy Executive Director (Training Services) –
- To formulate and implement, in conjunction with related government departments and agencies, an overall plan of training programmes to meet the training needs of targeted groups and to enhance their employability and competitiveness;
- to lead and supervise the Course Development Section in the vetting of course proposals submitted by training bodies, and to partner with different stakeholders to ensure that the learning outcomes of programmes provided cater for the needs of the industries and the economy;
- to oversee that courses developed meet the requirement of the Board’s quality assurance mechanism;
- to cultivate network and strengthen partnership with various stakeholders, including employers, trade associations, labour unions, professional bodies, government bureaux and departments, training bodies and examination and accreditation authorities; and
- to draft papers and reports for consideration by the Board and its Committees.

Requirements |
- A recognised University degree with a minimum of 15 years' post-degree working experience, of which at least 5 years should be at senior managerial level;
- experience of working in the public sector and/or good knowledge of vocational training, retraining, continuing education and course development would be an advantage;
- possess strategic mindset and broad outlook, proactive, dynamic, innovative and outcome-oriented;
- excellent interpersonal, networking, organisational and leadership skills; and
- excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
