Employees Retraining Board

Objectives

Established in October 2002 by the Employees Retraining Board ("ERB"), the Practical Skills Training and Assessment Centre ("PSTAC") to administer the practical skills assessments centrally in a fair and just manner safeguarding the standard and quality of the assessment, the skills of the candidates who have passed the assessments can be ensured and their employability is enhanced.

The PSTAC is now administering the practical assessments of the following courses:

• Certificate in Healthcare Massage


• Certificate in Care Worker Training


• Certificate in Care-related Support Worker Training


• Certificate in Elderly Home Care Worker Training


• Certificate in Post-natal Care Worker Training


• Certificate in Infant and Child Care Worker Training


• Certificate in Hotel Room Attendant Training


• Certificate in Hotel Public Area Cleaner Training


• Certificate in Laundry Assistant Training


• Certificate in Environmental Hygiene and Cleaning Worker Training


• Certificate in Catering and Banquet Attendant Training


• Module Certificate in Elderly Care


• Module Certificate in Elderly Nursing Care


• Module Certificate in Infant Care


• Module Certificate in Elementary Skills for Care Worker


• Module Certificate in Elementary Skills for Care Worker (Feeding Skills)


• Module Certificate in Elementary Skills for Care Worker (Incontinence Care)

Fee

No charges will be imposed for candidates taking the standardised practical assessments and re-assessments of the above courses.

Competency Cards and Certificates

Graduates of the Certificate in Domestic Helper Training course who have passed the standardised practical assessments will be issued a “Competency Card” together and a graduation certificate. Candidates who have passed the assessments of other courses will be issued the graduation certificates.
