![]() ![]() | As the district-based window to the courses and services of the ERB, ERB Service Centre offers just-in-time and diversified self-help and support services to those with training and employment needs. Service targets are those aged 15 or above, with education attainment of sub-degree or below. Registration as members is simple and free of charge. ERB Service Centre focuses on providing training support services for the “Manpower Development Scheme”. Each Centre has a comprehensive collection of course and service information of training centres in respective district. Service features include a self-help “Training and Career Needs Test” * to assist users in identifying their career pursuits and training needs; personalized “training consultancy service” to users requiring more intensive support and advice on ERB courses; direct enrolment service for ERB courses offered by training bodies in the region; and the offer of self-help mock interview facilities* at the Centre. To facilitate self-enhancement, the Centre provides multi-media computer facilities and reading corner. A wide variety of workshops are conducted to enhance the general skills and to instill positive energy into the service targets. Talks on ERB courses are offered for members to obtain updated course information. Besides, the Centre organizes mutual support groups and study groups for members to share experience, exchange information, and build up support networks. The Centre also provides employment support services, including the display of job vacancy information and self-help facilities for job search and applications. Members can make use of the “Mock Interview System”* to practice and polish their interview skills. Industry seminars and job fairs will also be held regularly for members. For those who have needs for further employment support, basic job matching service will be available. Targeted support services including language and generic skills workshops, mutual support groups, and service referrals will be offered for special social groups such as new arrivals and ethnic minorities to meet their specific needs. *Services will be introduced by phases.
