Quality Assurance


  • Completed a formal accreditation exercise conducted by HKCAAVQ


Other Vetting Criteria

1. Background of the Organization


  • Major activities organized by the organization and source of funding.

  • Long term commitment and participation in the Manpower Development Scheme.



2. Experience in Adult / Youth Education or Vocational Training


  • The organization should have experience in adult / youth education or vocational training.

  • Recognition of training offered by the organization.

  • Expertise of the organization and its relation to market demand / goal of Manpower Development Scheme.

  • Experience in offering placement-tied courses.



3. Placement Services and Employers' Network


  • Experience in offering placement services.

  • Understanding of the current labour market, expertise and employer network in specific job / trade in particular.



4. Instructors and Facilities


  • Sufficient facilities for offering training courses.

  • Instructors should be well qualified and possess relevant experience.

  • In case of full-time placement-tied courses, the organization should delegate experienced staff / instructors in providing placement service.



5. Location


  • Appropriate location for training purpose.



6. Contribution to the Manpower Development Scheme


  • Any special contribution to the Manpower Development Scheme e.g. quality of proposed new course


Remark:

The above benchmarks are not exclusive criteria. They only serve as reference for the Quality Assurance and Review Committee (QARC) for vetting new training bodies. The EO/ERB would amend the above benchmark from time to time, by taking into consideration of the development of the Manpower Development Scheme, and comments from the Quality Assurance and Review Committee (QARC).
