With a view to instilling a corporate culture advocating the importance of manpower training and development, the ERB launched the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” (the Scheme) in December 2009 to acknowledge organisations which have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in manpower training and development as Manpower Developers (MDs)1.
The Scheme will be held annually with an aim to cultivate a common value to attach great importance to manpower training and development.
Since the launch of the Scheme in 2009, a total of 192 public and private organisations (28 of which are SMEs) from 30 industries have been accredited as MDs.
Through the Scheme, the ERB has created a diversified, multi-facet and sustainable interactive platform for MDs, follow-up activities including "Grand Prize Award", thematic seminars, sharing sessions and circulation of "MD Magazine" were rolled out to foster its strategic partnership with MDs and cultivates a common value to enhance the quality of human resources in Hong Kong.
