“MD Outreach Programme – Roving Talk at Secondary Schools” Event Highlights for October 2013

“MD Outreach Programme – Roving Talk at Secondary Schools” aims to increase the understanding of senior secondary school students about different industries and to better plan for academic and career development.

In October 2013, the ERB organised 3 talks respectively at the Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School, Fukien Secondary School and Buddhist Ho Nam Kam College. Representatives of the ERB introduced ERB’s courses and services which are suitable for the young people, and representatives of three “Manpower Developers” including New World Telecommunications Limited, Hong Thai Travel Services Limited and McDonald's Restaurants (Hong Kong) Limited shared the development prospect, entry requirements and interviewing skills of the respective industry with a total of around 1,000 secondary upper-form students.

Mr. Ricky LAU, Manager, Talent Management of New World Telecommunications Limited spoke at the Talk at Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School.

Ms. Christina WONG, Assistant Training Manager of Hong Thai Travel Services Limited was the Guest Speaker for the Talk at the Fukien Secondary School.

Ms Helen MAK, Recruitment Specialist of McDonald's Restaurants (Hong Kong) Limited introduced the development of the catering industry to students of the Buddhist Ho Nam Kam College.
