With a view to instilling a corporate culture advocating the importance of manpower training and development, ERB launched the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” (the Scheme) in December 2009 to acknowledge organizations which have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in manpower training and development as Manpower Developers (MDs)1.
The Scheme will be held annually with an aim to cultivate a common value to attach great importance to staff training and development.
In the first two years of the Scheme, a total of 137 public and private organizations (16 of which are SMEs) from 28 industries have been accredited as MDs. The recruitment of MDs for 2011-12 is now commenced and the application deadline will be on 15 November 2011.
Through the Scheme, ERB creates a diversified, multi-facet and sustainable interactive platform for the organizations. ERB has rolled out follow-up activities such as "Grand Prize Award", thematic seminars and "MD Magazine" to foster its strategic partnership with the MDs and to cultivate a common value to enhance the quality of human resources in Hong Kong.
