Smart Living provides placement services to graduated trainees of relevant ERB courses of the “Manpower Development Scheme”. It is aimed to increase local employment opportunities and maintain the sustainable development of the society. To become a Smart Helper, the procedure is easy and simple.

Qualifications of a Smart Helper

All applicants should have completed any of the following “Manpower Development Scheme” certificate courses provided by the ERB:

• Certificate in Local Domestic Helper Training Courses#
• Certificate in Massage for Healthcare Training Courses# (Additional requirements and different registration procedure)
• Certificate in Post-natal Care Worker Training Courses#
• Certificate in Infant and Child Care Worker Training Courses#
• Certificate in Elderly Home Care Worker Training Courses#
• Certificate in Personal Care Worker Training Courses#
• Certificate in Escort Service for Out-patient Visit Training Courses
• Certificate in Home Care Worker for Discharged Patients Training Courses

# Graduates of the above courses must have to undergo standardized skills assessments offered by the ERB Practical Skills Training and Assessment Centre ("PSTAC"). For other courses, trainees are required to undergo assessment(s) at individual training bodies before graduation.

Registration Procedure

All job-seekers are required to register as Smart Helpers.

Online Registration The online matching service is in Chinese only. Fax, Mail or In Person You can download the “Smart Helper Job Application Form”, or obtain it from any of the Smart Living – Regional Service Centres. Submit the completed form by fax, mail or in person to any of the Regional Service Centres.

Job Referral

• Each job referral registration is valid for 6 months. Job referral is mainly handled by the Regional Service Centre which received your Application Form. However, your information will also be made available to all other Regional Service Centers for more chances of referral.
• Re-registration is needed after 6-month period if job referral is still required.
