Overview

Since the launch of the Training Consultancy Service in 2011, the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) has served over 8,000 people, who are in need of training and employment, by providing personalised support and giving advice on enrolling suitable ERB courses. Training Consultancy Service includes:

1. Personalised Consultation Service

By assessing the training needs and job aspirations of the users through face-to-face interviews or video conferencing, Training Consultants will provide recommendations to users on suitable ERB courses and assist them to apply for these courses.

2. Group Service

Training Consultants can visit NGOs, district bodies and secondary schools to provide on-site consultation service or briefing session to social groups with special needs (e.g. new arrivals, persons with disabilities and persons recovered from work injuries, ethnic minorities, rehabilitated drug abusers, rehabilitated offenders and secondary school students who will soon be leaving school, etc.). The objective is to enhance their understanding of training and employment information in the community.
