Full resumption of ERB courses starting from 1 June 2020

The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) announces to fully resume classroom training starting from 1 June 2020.

In light of the epidemic and to tie in with the preventive and control measures implemented by the Government, ERB suspended all its training courses from 29 January 2020 onwards.  To support trainees in resuming studies during infection control, ERB piloted the online learning arrangement starting from 6 April 2020 on a limited basis.  As the epidemic situation has stabilised, ERB has resumed classroom training in phases and orderly manner starting from 4 May 2020 onwards.  As at 28 May 2020, over 500 courses have resumed classroom training and 120 courses are provided online.

To safeguard the health of trainees and related persons, all training bodies offering classroom training courses must meet the pre-requisites for class resumption and implement a host of precautionary measures in strict compliance with the latest “Guidelines on Precautionary Measures against COVID-19” issued by ERB.  ERB will step up monitoring and class inspection.  At the same time, training bodies will continue to offer the online teaching mode according to actual circumstances.

Should trainees and members of the public have any enquiries, please contact respective training bodies direct, or call the ERB hotline 182 182 or visit the ERB website www.erb.org.
