Full resumption of ERB classes starting from 14 September 2020
The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) announces to fully resume classroom training starting from 14 September 2020.
In light of the pandemic situation and to tie in with the preventive and control measures implemented by the Government, ERB suspended all its classroom training from 15 July 2020, and gradually resumed around 80% of which with no or minimal human contacts as the first phase from 1 September onwards. As the pandemic situation has further stabilised, coupled with smooth resumption of classes in the first phase, ERB will resume all its classroom training starting from 14 September 2020 (next Monday) to address the huge demand of members of the public for training services. Meanwhile, ERB will continue the online teaching arrangement in parallel, with over 260 online courses currently in offer to support trainees who opt for distance learning.
To safeguard the health of trainees and related persons, all training bodies must meet the pre-requisites for resuming classroom training and implement a host of precautionary measures in strict compliance with the latest “Guidelines on Precautionary Measures against COVID-19” issued by ERB.
Individual training bodies may adjust the class resumption arrangements with respect to their own operation. In case of any changes, the latest information announced by the training bodies concerned shall prevail. Should trainees and members of the public have any enquiries, please contact respective training bodies direct, or call the ERB hotline 182 182 or visit the ERB website www.erb.org.
