"Employer Sharing Session on Recruiting the Disabled"- Event Highlights

The ERB organised an “Employer Sharing Session on Recruiting the Disabled" on 17 October 2014. Around 60 representatives of employer organisations and appointed training bodies of the ERB enrolled.

At the event, the ERB representative introduced the services offered by the ERB to employers in recruiting and training the disabled, and announced the findings of the “Topical Survey on Recruiting the Disabled”. Representatives of the Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service and Princess Margaret Hospital, training bodies of the ERB, shared the employment needs and successful placement cases of people recovered from mental illness and people suffering from chronic illness respectively. In addition, Mr. Jackie SZETO, Manager - Front of House Staffing of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, elaborated how the organisation fostered an inclusive workplace environment through various means including the launch of the “Apprenticeship for People with Disabilities Programme”.
