Objectives

Target participants of the "First-Hire-Then-Train" Scheme (the "Scheme") are those who are middle-aged and unemployed (mainly homemakers). Upon receiving relevant basic training on customer services and cleaning skills during working hours within the employment period, hired trainees will formally perform the duties of a Custodial Host(ess) (Cleaning Services), and be able to master the skills required for daily duties of a Custodial Host(ess) (Cleaning Services) after completing the designated training.  

Post recruited under the "Scheme" - Custodial Host(ess) (Cleaning Services)

Under the “Scheme”, respective appointed training body of the ERB will arrange for the provision of on-the-job training for trainees while the employer will recruit 20 Custodial Host(ess) (Cleaning Services) and arrange them for training.   

 

"First-Hire"

One employer will participate in the "Scheme". Appointment terms of the target job set out by the participating employer under the "Scheme" are as follows:

Post title:

 Custodial Host(ess) (Cleaning Services)

Entry requirements:

  • No requirement on academic qualifcation or work experience
  • Able to speak Chinese, Putongua or English
  • Applications from those who are middle-aged and unemployed are welcomed

Appointment period:

2 October 2018 to 1 October 2019

To be recruited as part-time employees during training period (2 October 2018 to 25 October 2018).  Subject to performance, full-time employment may be offered afterwards

Remuneration:

Training period

$66 per hour (156 hours during the training period), with transportation subsidy, complimentary park tickets, Cast Member exclusive event and Cast discount on hotel rooms, dining and shopping

After training period

Full-timeThe monthly salary will be $14,000.  Benefits include discretionary gratuity, transportation subsidy, Cast exclusive MTR monthly pass, overtime payment, early shift and late shift premium, external education reimbursement and examination leave, marriage leave and maternity leave, complimentary park tickets, Cast Member exclusive event and Cast discount on hotel rooms, dining and shopping, medical insurance

Part-time$66 per hour, with transportation subsidy, overtime payment, early shift and late shift premium, complimentary park tickets, Cast Member exclusive event and Cast discount on hotel rooms, dining and shopping

Working hours:

Training Period: 4 to 5 days per week; 4 to 9 hours per daywork schedule during the training period will be provided before employment

After training period:

Full-time: 5 days per week; 9 to 10 hours per day, on shift duty, choose from Morning Session (9am to 6:45pm) or Night Session (12:15pm to 10pm)

Part-time: 2 to 3 days per week; 9 to 10 hours per day, on shift duty(trainee may negotiate with employer to confirm the working hours)

Working location:

  Hong Kong Disneyland Resort 

Incentives for retention:

Trainees will be offered full-time employment subject to performance in the training period.  The monthly salary will be $14,000.  Benefits include discretionary gratuity, transportation subsidy, Cast exclusive MTR monthly pass, overtime payment, early shift and late shift premium, external education reimbursement and examination leave, marriage and maternity leave, complimentary park tickets, Cast Member exclusive event and Cast discount on hotel rooms, dining and shopping, medical insurance

Experienced full-time staff will provide guidance via Mentorship Programme to assist trainees in adapting to the working environment

 "Then-Train"

On-the-job training will include the “Foundation Certificate in Generic Skills in the Workplace (Communication Skills and Customer Service) (Part-time)” (12 hours) under the Generic Skills Training Courses category.  The ERB would award certificate to the trainee graduates upon their successful completion of the above course.

The employer will arrange an experienced full-time staff as mentor to provide trainees with on-the-job practical skills training and guidance, and assist trainees to adapt to the working environment.

 (The training will be conducted in Cantonese.)
