ERB to Further Suspend Classroom Training until Further Notice

In view of the latest development of the coronavirus disease 2019 and in line with the stepped up preventive measures announced by the Government, the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) announces that the classroom training of ERB courses, services of ERB Siu Sai Wan office and “Practical Skills Training and Assessment Centre”, as well as services and activities of the “ERB Service Centre” and 37 “ERB Service Spots” will continue to be suspended until further notice.

ERB remarks that the class suspension arrangement will be applicable to all ERB full-time and part-time courses, including courses under the “Love Upgrading Special Scheme”.  Meanwhile, ERB will continue to implement the online learning arrangement, with 142 online learning courses currently in offer to support trainees in distance learning during infection control.  In case of any changes to the online courses, the latest announcements of the training bodies concerned shall prevail.

In addition, the video conferencing and online booking of the training consultancy service, “Smart Living” and “Smart Baby Care” referral services and the ERB hotline 182 182 (operating hours: from 9am to 4pm on Monday to Friday) will remain in service to support members of the public in need.

ERB will closely monitor the latest epidemic development in making timely assessment and announcement in due course.  Should trainees and members of the public have any enquiries, please call ERB hotline 182 182 or visit the ERB website: www.erb.org to learn the latest arrangement.
