Presentation Ceremony 2015-16
The Presentation Ceremony of the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” 2015-16 was successfully held on 19 May 2016. The Ceremony was officiated by the Hon. Matthew CHEUNG Kin-chung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, JP, Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr. William LEUNG Wing-cheung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the ERB, Mr. YU Pang-chun, SBS, JP, Vice-Chairman of the ERB, and Mr. Stanley NG Ka-kwong, BBS, Executive Director of the ERB. Around 500 guests from the Government, employers, business associations and training bodies attended the Ceremony to witness the outstanding achievements of Manpower Developers (MDs).
A total of 110 organisations, including 42 Non-SMEs, 45 SMEs, as well as 23 organisations of the category of “Government Department, Public Body and NGO”, were awarded as MDs in recognition of their outstanding achievements in manpower training and development at the Presentation Ceremony 2015-16. In addition, a total of 164 organisations passed the renewal assessment of the Scheme and were continued to be acknowledged as MDs for another 2 years. Besides, 16 MDs with the highest level of participation in the activities of the Scheme in 2014-16 were awarded the “Grand Prize Award”, and 9 MDs which got the highest votes at the “MD Voting Game” of “MD Fun and Reward Promotional Campaign” were presented trophies.
The ERB has rolled out different employer activities to create a diversified and sustainable interactive platform for MDs, and to foster its strategic partnership with MDs for the enhancement of the quality of human resources in Hong Kong.
