Hotel Industry
Objectives
Target participants of the "Hire and Train" Scheme (the "Scheme") are those who are middle-aged and unemployed (including homemakers), seeking employment through training. Under the "Scheme", hired trainees will receive relevant training on housekeeping during working hours within the employment period, hired trainees will formally perform the duties of a Hotel Room Attendant, and be able to master the skills required for daily duties of a Hotel Room Attendant after completing the designated training.
Content of the "Scheme"
Under the “Scheme”, an appointed training body of the ERB (Hong Kong Employment Development Service Limited) will arrange on-the-job training for trainees, while the employer (InnoService Company Limited (Hong Yip Service Co .Ltd)) will recruit and arrange 20 Hotel Room Attendants for training.

Remuneration: |
Basic monthly salary of $18,000 Paid annual leave, statutory leave, on duty meals allowance, discretionary bonuses, medical, dental and insurance benefits etc. |
Working hours: |
5 days work, 9.5 hours per day (including 1 hour lunch/rest break); rotate shift off & days off.

Incentives for retention: |
Arranging 1:2-3 mentorship; one-off transportation bonus; one-off bonus in the 2nd month of employment |

"and Train"
Hired trainees will be arranged to attend the “Foundation Certificate in Practical Skills for Hotel Room Attendant (Part-time)” (50 hours) offered by ERB. Upon successful completion of the above course, trainees will be awarded graduation certificate. The employer will provide on-the-job practical training for trainees, with senior staff as mentors to help trainees adapt to the work environment and focus on practical work.
(The training will be conducted in Cantonese.)
