About Us

The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) is a statutory body established in 1992 under the Employees Retraining Ordinance. ERB co-ordinates, funds and monitors training courses and services provided by about 80 appointed Training Bodies with around 370 training centres across the territory. ERB provides training courses that are market-driven and skills-based to meet the changing needs of the employment market. ERB currently offers around 700 training courses straddling across 28 industries.

Stakeholders

ERB's service targets are eligible employees of Hong Kong aged 15 or above. ERB maintains partnerships and communication with stakeholders to foster the development of training courses and services.

ERB sets up “Industry Consultative Networks” (ICNs) and invites representatives from trade associations, employer associations, trade unions, professional bodies, vocational training and human resources-related organisations, as well as industry experts to join and advise on the manpower development and training needs of respective industries, relevant to the design and development of ERB courses.

ERB has engaged the services of veteran practitioners in different industries to offer professional advice on the course development and quality assurance work of ERB.
