The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) also actively develops professional certification courses to help trainees attain recognised qualifications and move up the progression ladder. Some of the professional certification courses offered by ERB are recognised by the respective professions and hence graduate trainees are eligible for professional registration or certification. Besides, ERB offers “One-examination-two-certificates” courses under which trainees who have passed the relevant professional certification examinations would be awarded the ERB certificates on top of the professional certificates. Some of these courses are designed specifically for the unemployed and those seeking employment. These courses offer free-of-charge training, assessment, certification and placement follow-up services. ERB also offers examination-preparatory courses on part-time or evening basis to assist serving employees to sit for relevant professional examinations.
