Quality Assurance

Monitoring Mechanism

ERB has established a set of criteria in admitting organisations as its appointed Training Bodies. A “Risk-and-performance-based” approach is adopted in its quality assurance system which seeks to measure the performance of training bodies in various aspects including organisational administration, course quality management, trainers, assessments, etc. The objective is to monitor the performance of training bodies and uphold the quality of training courses.

Appointed Training Bodies of ERB are well experienced in vocational training or adult education and possess employers' network to support trainees in career development.

Practical Skills Training and Assessment Centre

ERB has established the Practical Skills Training and Assessment Centre (PSTAC) to administer practical assessments for designated ERB courses with a view to assuring the quality of graduate trainees and enhancing recognition of trainees' skill level.

Qualification and Certification

Around 330 ERB courses on offer are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications and recognised under the “Qualifications Framework”. ERB also actively develops professional certification courses to help trainees attain recognised qualifications and move up the progression ladder.
